Sustainable Lifestyle

Sustainability is the new fashion. Few little swaps can make a huge difference in our lifestyle. We might not notice them, but they bring out huge impact in the long-term. Here are a few swaps that you can make to move one-step closer towards the path of sustainability.

1. Bamboo brushes

Generally, we need to change our toothbrushes every 4 months. Approximately, 50 million pounds of plastic is generated just because of toothbrushes. So, by swapping plastic brushes with bamboo brushes, we can create a tiny change. Also, you can feel extra-proud for saving your planet.

2. Wooden combs

Plastic combs generate static electricity which causes a lot of damage to our hair. Wooden combs do not generate this problem. They come with a lot of benefits and also help the environment. Wooden combs are always a  good investment.

3. Switch to copper or steel bottles

Unlike the plastic bottles, metal bottles can be used for a very long duration. Copper also helps in purification of water. They are eco-friendly and also have health benefits. So, what's stopping you from getting one?

4. Cloth bags

Cloth bags have become very common in few grocery stores these days and I'm very happy about the change. But, people unnecessarily get a cloth bag each time they visit a grocery store. Instead of that, always carry a cloth bag with you(in your vehicles or bags) and use it whenever necessary. Do not ask/buy cloth bags unless you need them. I really hope you follow this practice after reading this article.

5. Recycled papers and tissues

People love white paper and hate recycled paper for some reason and I don't know why! You are going to use that paper once anyway. Then why not use a recycled one? You can easily find recycled papers/tissues and guess what? They are pocket-friendly.

6. Bath powders

We all love the DIY bath powders our grandmothers use (come on don't lie).Do you know that the chemicals used in soap end-up mixing in the rivers. Not cool, right? So let's get back to basics. Use a bath powder with all the natural ingredients available in your kitchen. If you cannot find one, then make one. Well, you can take the advice of your grandmother.

Sustainable living is never costly. It is pocket-friendly and is a game-changer. All these practices are not new to us. Our ancestors have followed all these methods but we stopped following these practices by calling them old-fashioned. I assure you that you will be more happy by considering these practices. These little steps you follow will surely lead to a bigger change.
